A Murano glass chandelier is not chosen from a catalogue. It is designed. It is born from a conversation, an intention, a space to enhance. It is this conviction that guides every Milodina project – and it is what makes all the difference for an architect or interior designer looking for more than just a supplier.

Here's how we work, and how to transform your vision into an exceptional piece that will last for decades.

Why the Murano chandelier remains an essential reference in interior architecture

For centuries, the Murano glass chandelier has stood as the centerpiece of the grandest interiors. Venetian palaces, hotels, exceptional private residences: there is no material that plays with light with the same complexity, depth, and movement.

It's not a trend. It's physics. Hand-blown Murano glass possesses optical qualities that no other material can replicate — each fixture creates a unique, vibrant refraction that changes with the time of day and light intensity.

For an architect or designer, integrating a custom Murano chandelier into a project means introducing a piece that dialogues with the space rather than simply occupying it.

Custom-made, not adaptation: what's the difference?

Many resellers offer "customization" — choosing a color, modifying a height, adding light arms. We can do that, but it's not custom-made. It's adapting an existing product.

At Milodina, custom-made starts with a blank sheet. We start with your intentions, your inspirations, your designs — an atmosphere, a ceiling layout, a material palette, a technical constraint — and together we refine a piece that did not exist before your project.

Concretely, this means:

The shape and dimensions

are dictated by your space, not by an existing mold. A monumental chandelier for a 9-meter high hall is not designed like a hotel bedroom pendant. We advise on proportions, weight, and fixing points upstream.

The glassmaking technique

is chosen according to the desired rendering. Murano boasts a multitude of major techniques — blown glass, filigree, battuto, incalmo, pulegoso, murrine… — and each produces a different light, different textures and finishes. We guide you in this choice with samples and projections.

The structure and electrification

are integrated from the design phase, in coordination with your design office or electrician. LED, dimmer, color temperature, Dali home automation…: we translate every technical constraint into an invisible solution.

Our 4-step process

1.       The creative brief

It all starts with a conversation — in person in Paris, via video conference, or through a detailed written brief. We seek to understand the space, the overall project, the desired ambiance, technical constraints, and the timeline. We ask a lot of questions. The right questions.

2.       The creative proposal

Within 15 business days, we submit an initial proposal: sketch, dimensions, envisioned glass technique, color palette, budget estimate, and production schedule. Everything is open for discussion, adjustment, and improvement.

3.       Production in Murano

Once the project is validated, we coordinate its manufacturing with the glass workshops we have selected in Murano for their specific expertise. We ensure follow-up at every stage — and keep you regularly informed. Production time varies from 3 to 4 months depending on complexity.

4.       Delivery and installation

Custom packaging, secure transport, coordination with your on-site teams. We don't abandon the project after shipping — we support it through final installation by providing detailed assembly drawings for professionals on site.

What we guarantee on every project

Three non-negotiable commitments guide every Milodina collaboration:

Aesthetic coherence.

The delivered piece matches what was validated. No surprises, no deviations. We work with workshops we have known for years and whose production we master.

Adherence to deadlines.

We commit to a schedule and we stick to it. For projects with tight deadlines — hotel openings, inaugurations, construction deliveries — we have the experience and connections to meet tight deadlines, as we have demonstrated for several Parisian palaces and confidential projects.

Absolute confidentiality.

Your projects are yours. We do not communicate about our collaborations without your explicit consent.

What kind of projects should engage Milodina?

We support a wide variety of projects, all of which share a demand for results and a complexity that our clients prefer not to manage alone:

  • Hotels and luxury hotels (lobby, restaurant, presidential suite, spa)
  • Exceptional private residences (Haussmannian apartments, villas, chalets in France and internationally)
  • Yachts and luxury vessels
  • Retail boutiques and flagship stores
