A home born from a deep connection with Murano glass

Long before Milodina was founded, a unique relationship was forged with the master glassmakers of Murano, built on trust, respect for their expertise, and a deep understanding of the technical and creative constraints associated with glass.

This close relationship, nurtured for over 26 years, forms the foundation of our company. Today, it allows Milodina to employ a variety of traditional and contemporary glassmaking techniques and integrate them into complex and ambitious interior design projects.

26 years of experience

The founder

An interior designer who graduated from the Camondo school in Paris and founder of MILODINA, Michèle Richer has cultivated close and privileged ties with the master glassmakers of Murano for 26 years.

She designs tailor-made projects for prestigious clients, such as renowned specifiers, luxury hotels, architectural firms and demanding individuals.

Aware of the confidential and unique nature of the Murano universe, Michèle Richer has the privilege of being not only accepted but also appreciated there, which allows her to create exceptional creations.

Milodina’s unique role: orchestrating glassmaking expertise

Unlike a workshop or manufacturer, Milodina does not produce directly.
The house stands out for a rare approach: that of a single point of contact, capable of selecting, coordinating and assembling the skills of the best Murano glassmakers.

This ability to orchestrate makes it possible to combine several glassmaking techniques within the same project, to respond to complex tailor-made requests, and to integrate aesthetic, architectural, technical, and deadline constraints.

Milodina acts as an orchestrator, guaranteeing the overall coherence of the project, from design to final delivery.

Expertise focused on interior architecture and exceptional projects

Milodina's core expertise lies in the creation of custom architectural lighting and mirrors, conceived as true structuring elements of a space.

Each project is designed as a precise response to:

  • a location
  • an architecture
  • a creative intention
  • a specific use

The multiple skills of Murano artisans at the service of high-end and ultra-luxury interiors.

A partner, not just a supplier

For seven centuries, fashions have come and gone. Some are minimalist, others more baroque, each desperately seeking the "new." In Murano, time flows differently. There is no rush or passing fad, but enough space and time to create the unique. Mastering this art takes time, and this is how each piece becomes a lasting and unique work. It takes strength to extract the glass from the fire, patience to achieve the perfect shape, and a great deal of courage to perpetuate a legendary tradition of luxury.

At MILODINA, we respect this tradition while adding a touch of modernity.

Our Creation Process

Within the House, every project is born from close dialogue with the client. Each creation is conceived as a unique piece, crafted with high standards and attention to detail, from the first client meeting to its shipment anywhere in the world.

Meeting and listening

Each project begins with a meeting with the client to understand their needs, inspirations, and the environment in which the piece will be placed.

Research into materials and harmonies

A selection of samples is then presented: materials, textures and colors allow for the exploration of different aesthetic avenues.

Drawings and preliminary sketches

The initial ideas take shape through drawings and sketches, which convey the artistic intent and balance of the future creation.

Technical drawings

Once the creative direction has been approved, precise technical drawings are produced to define the structure and technical manufacturing details.

Scale drawings

The project is then developed at a 1:1 scale to ensure accurate proportions and facilitate the artisans' work.

Production and monitoring in Murano

Manufacturing is entrusted to Murano master glassmakers. Each production stage is carefully monitored to ensure quality and adherence to the initial design.

Packaging and preparation

Careful monitoring of the packaging is carried out to ensure the protection and integrity of the part.

International shipping

The order is then carefully packaged for international shipping, so that the creation arrives at its destination in the best possible condition.
