A graduate of the Camondo school in Paris with a degree in interior design, Michèle Richer was not destined to become one of the few trusted experts in the world of Murano glass. And yet, it was within the design office of a major company specializing in this glass art that she discovered, more than 26 years ago, a profession as demanding as it is fascinating: that of haute couture lighting.

She learned this unique expertise on the job, in the workshops, alongside Venetian glass masters. She shared their constraints, their rhythms, their traditions. From this immersion arose a rare relationship of trust with these artisans—almost familial ties that she maintains to this day. Some are the direct descendants of the glassmakers she knew at the beginning of her career.

The birth of Milodina

In 2016, drawing on this experience, she founded Milodina, a company that celebrates the beauty of craftsmanship and the richness of Murano's glassmaking heritage, while adding her own French touch. Her mission: to create exceptional objects, most often bespoke, in close collaboration with the island's workshops.

Lighting, mirrors, tableware, decorative objects : Michèle guides her clients through personalized projects, characterized by elegance, precision, and authenticity. Thanks to her intimate knowledge of the region, she knows which workshop to turn to, because in Murano, every door conceals a specific expertise, a unique language.

Jewelry: between transparency, light and gold

In parallel, she develops high-end Murano glass jewelry, designed in Paris and handcrafted according to the traditional Murano techniques. Her ORUS collection, with its 24-karat gold leaf inclusions, perfectly embodies this subtle alliance between tradition and modernity, light and material, refinement and character.
