It was during a professional event that Michèle Richer, founder of Milodina, met Christine Vasse and her daughter, directors of La Savonnerie Royale. A bond quickly formed. They all share the same creative sensitivity and a deep passion for their craft.
For over a year, the idea of a collaboration had been naturally maturing. The two houses operate in similar worlds, where demanding quality, attention to detail and timeless elegance are essential.
The founding idea: a Murano glass soap dish with gold leaf
The inspiration truly took shape with the release of Milodina's ORUS jewelry collection, incorporating 24-carat gold leaf into Murano glass. This precious finish then became an obvious choice.
The idea was born to apply this glassmaking expertise to an everyday object: a Murano glass soap dish, enhanced with gold leaf. A decorative and functional object, designed to magnify La Savonnerie Royale's soaps while embodying the aesthetic universe common to both houses.

Over the course of discussions, the project was refined. The shape of the soap dish was carefully chosen: elegant, balanced and timeless. It reflects a certain art of living, where beauty slips into everyday gestures.
